Admission Policies

Enrollment Requirements

For entry into:

• Preschool 3 — students must be age 3 years by September 1, 2012*
• Preschool 4 — students must be age 4 years by September 1, 2012*
• Kindergarten — students must be age 5 years by September 1, 2012*
• Grade 1 — students must be age 6 years by September 1, 2012*

• All students must have the approval of the Vietnamese Immigration Department to enter/remain in Vietnam.
• A student entering high school must submit records for all previous high school coursework. Credit for graduation cannot be given without a full high school academic history.
• Students’ transferring from a country whose school year follows a different calendar than CISH will generally be required to continue in the year they have just completed (For example: a student completing grade 7 in December in Australia, would remain in grade 7 at CISH for the remainder of the academic year).

*Parents are required to submit proof of birth date in the form of a birth certificate, passport, or other official government document

Specialized Learning Needs

Concordia does not offer services for students with special learning needs or specific learning disabilities (i.e. significant limited intellectual ability, severe physical handicaps or pronounced social, emotional or behavioral difficulties) that require an IEP (Individualized Education Program). We ask families whose children have specialized schooling requirements to include documentation of these needs and the reasons for these requirements with the application. Admission to Concordia is contingent upon a match between the student's needs and level of service available.

Evaluation and Acceptance

Official Letters of Acceptance are sent by e-mail. The family can then accept or decline the invitation. Some applicants may be accepted on a monitored or probationary basis and granted full admission upon successful completion of the conditions or provisions noted.
