The students of Concordia International School Hanoi donated and distributed 159 backpacks filled with school materials and health care supplies to students at Son Tinh Primary School in Phu Tho Province on December 12. Funds for this project were raised by the Concordia Community through a school wide Walk-A-Thon in Hanoi, with all 46 of Concordia’s students in Preschool-Grade 7 participating. Concordia is excited to be working with LCMS World Mission, in cooperation with Vietnam’s National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), to help alleviate poverty though education and health care programs. In addition to visiting Son Tinh Primary School, Concordia’s students also visited farms to learn of the NIN’s program to improve health through modern farming practices in agriculture. Concordia believes and has at its foundation a dedication to service work to help those in need through student action.
